Well! I got fired from the candy store because I was considering going to school for something (those bastards) so I’ve been blissfully unemployed (for the most part- I’m still part-timing at the theatre) for about a month and a bit now- which is fucking weird… let me tell you.Especially since I’ve been working retail for about ten years now.

So, yes. Hairdressing school which I am incredibly excited about. I’m taking it full time (9-5, Monday-Friday) with the bonus of full OSAP! I should graduate in April, assuming I’m not entirely incompetent… so… exciting changes!

Ugh. Cashiering at a large home-improvement warehouse. “Will that be everything for you today?” And so forth. You know the drill. But it’s not planning and marking, it’s not dealing with lunatic parents and their gormless offspring, and it pays decent. If I can get good hours I can make a good dent in this condo thing.

Hmm, what else. I’m going to Denmark on a short-term exchange some time in the new year. My Danish counterpart comes here in October, which is cool. I’m trying to get her here for Thanksgiving, which I think she should experience at least once.

The candy store firing you is INSANE and ridiculous. Have they managed to replace you yet? And what’s OSAP?

You know, for some reason I forgot that the O stands for Ontario and assumed that because you were in Canada that it would make sense to you. OSAP is the Ontario Student Assistance Program which basically means that they give me a bunch of money so that I can support myself while going to school full time without having to work a full time job.

And no. The candy store did not have someone set up to replace me, they just screwed themselves over in the attempt at screwing me over (but I had already finished signing up for school and everything, so hahahahaha etc).

Denmark! That’s exciting! I’m jealous of your travelling. Next time you stop in Toronto though I want a call because I will drop everything and rush to the airport and take you in my arms in a swirling hug worthy of sappy rom-coms. I am, however, not jealous about you doing retail… I kind of never want to do it again.

Let’s never stop talking for even a week ever again.
